Bio
István Hoffman (born in Nagyatád, Hungary 1981) is a professor at the Department of Administrative Law of the Faculty of Law at Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest, Hungary), a part-time professor of university at the Faculty of Law and Public Administration at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin (Poland), and a part-time research professor at the Institute for Legal Studies of the ELTE Centre for Social Sciences. His research interests include the organizational law of local governments, local welfare and social services, regional development issues, current challenges in social law and disability law, and the organization and management of local public policies. He obtained his PhD in 2008, his habilitation in 2013, and his doctorate of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2023 in the field of municipal law. He is the author of more than 400 scientific works in Hungarian , English, German, French and Polish languages.
