The International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) has received over 600 submissions for its 2026 Annual Conference, to be held in Athens, Greece, from 12 to 16 October 2026.
This exceptional response marks a major milestone for IASIA, especially as the Association celebrates 65 years of advancing public administration education, research, and practice worldwide. It reflects the continued strength, reach, and vitality of the IASIA community, as well as the growing global interest in this year’s theme, Rethinking Governance for a Changing World.
The breadth of contributions received promises a rich and engaging programme, bringing together scholars, practitioners, policymakers, government training institutions, international organizations, and emerging researchers from across the world.
Surpassing 600 submissions is more than a numerical achievement. It is a strong affirmation of IASIA’s role as a leading international platform for public administration, governance, and policy dialogue. It also speaks to the sustained commitment of authors, reviewers, Working Group Chairs, Programme Directors, partners, and members whose engagement continues to shape the Association’s global impact.
The review process is currently underway, and authors will be notified of submission outcomes in due course.
Further details on the scientific and social programme will be shared in the coming weeks.
We look forward to welcoming the global public administration community to Athens this October.
