Diogo Pereira,

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) and the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) took a step forward in aligning scientific activities across IIAS and its entities through a recent meeting involving Liezel Lues, President of IASIA, Tim Mau (University of Guelph), and Marco De la Cruz, Scientific Director of IIAS.

The exchange focused on identifying concrete areas for collaboration in research, academic initiatives, and knowledge exchange in public administration. Discussions also addressed ongoing developments related to Developments in Administration (DinA), the IIAS open-access journal dedicated to advancing research and practice in public administration, as well as emerging book projects aimed at strengthening scholarly contributions in the field.

“Under Professor Lues’ leadership, IASIA has been playing a key role in revitalizing the scientific agenda of our network,” said Marco De la Cruz. “This meeting reflects a shared commitment to better align our efforts and further strengthen the quality and coherence of our academic activities.”

The meeting underscores a continued effort to enhance coordination across IIAS and its entities, reinforcing their contribution to advancing public administration research and knowledge exchange, laying the groundwork for a more integrated and impactful scientific community.
