EGPA Permanent Study Group Co-Chairs Invited to Strategic Dialogue on the Future of EGPA

Diogo Pereira,

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) invites the Co-Chairs of the EGPA Permanent Study Groups (PSG) to a pivotal meeting on July 2, 2025, aimed at launching a renewed, open, and forward-looking dialogue between IIAS and EGPA.

This initiative comes at a transformative moment. Following the election of Dr. Voruganti Srinivas as IIAS President, and as EGPA prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary, the meeting will offer space to reflect on recent institutional developments, ongoing challenges, and the collective opportunities ahead.

This session will focus on governance reforms and financial incentives designed to empower co-chairs, strengthen PSGs, and foster a more collaborative future within the IIAS/EGPA framework.

President Srinivas will be joined by Professor Jörg Bogumil, Chair of the IIAS Finance Committee, and IIAS Council of Administration Sub-Committee of IIAS comprising of Prof. Geert Bouckaert, Prof. Sabine Kuhlmann, Prof. Paul Joyce, and Prof. Alexander Balthazar. This meeting will be a space to:

  • Share perspectives on EGPA’s current situation;

  • Ensure continuity in its scientific mission; and

  • Discuss how EGPA can evolve, reform, and respond to the expectations of its academic community.
