IIAS Partners with CANSPPA for the 2026 Annual Conference in Shanghai

Diogo Pereira,

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) is pleased to announce its partnership with the 2026 Annual Conference of the China-Arab Network of Schools of Public Policy and Administration (CANSPPA), which will take place on 22–23 November 2026 at Fudan University, Shanghai, China.

The CANSPPA Annual Conference will be held immediately following the IIAS 2026 Conference, scheduled for 17–20 November 2026 in Seoul, Republic of Korea, creating a back-to-back conference arrangement designed to facilitate international participation and strengthen academic exchange in the region.

This coordinated scheduling reflects a shared strategic vision to enhance collaboration among public administration scholars and institutions, while offering participants the opportunity to attend both conferences during the same travel period. The initiative is expected to foster deeper dialogue, expand research networks, and reinforce IIAS’s engagement with major academic communities in East Asia and beyond.

As part of this partnership, IIAS will act as an official partner of the CANSPPA 2026 Conference, supporting its international outreach and academic program. The Call for Papers for the CANSPPA Conference will be released concurrently with the announcement of the IIAS 2026 Conference, further strengthening the alignment between the two events.

Hosted by Fudan University, one of China’s leading academic institutions, the CANSPPA Annual Conference represents a key platform for advancing research, education, and practice in public administration. The partnership with IIAS underscores a shared commitment to building global connections and supporting high-quality scholarly exchange across regions.

Further details regarding the conference program and the Call for Papers will be made available in the coming months.

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences calls for proposals for its 2026 Conference, to be held in Seoul (South Korea) on November 17-20 on the theme of "Growth for Society: Collaborative governance, social innovation, and Public Value". Additional calls can be submitted to iias-conference@iias-iisa.org by May 24.

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) and the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) took a step forward in aligning scientific activities across IIAS and its entities through a recent meeting involving Liezel Lues, President of IASIA, Tim Mau (University of Guelph), and Marco De la Cruz, Scientific Director of IIAS.

The European Group for Public Administration (EGPA) has received nearly 900 submissions for its 2026 Annual Conference, to be held at Sapienza Università di Roma in Rome from August 24 to 27, 2026.
