We are excited to announce that registration for the EGPA 2023 Conference is now open!

With over 620 abstracts and proposals submitted, we have accepted 520 for presentation during the conference. We are expecting more than 500 participants to register in the coming months. This conference will provide a platform for in-depth discussions on how to navigate the European Union through poly-crises and explore various topics addressed by the 23 EGPA Permanent Study Groups.


The IASIA 2023 Conference, set to take place from July 31 to August 4, has revealed the comprehensive lineup of plenary sessions that will address key topics related to main conference theme of "Building Better Futures of Governance towardsAchieving the SDGs in a VUCA World". The conference will bring together distinguished scholars and practitioners in public governance from around the globe.


The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) and the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) have jointly launched a call for contributions aimed at reviewing and upgrading the Standards of Excellence on Public Administration Education and Training.


The International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) and the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) held the First Meeting of the IASIA/UN DESA Task Force for the Review of the Standards of Excellence for Public Administration Education and Training on April 18, 2023. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the need to revamp the Standards of Excellence and agree on how to proceed to build a common shared roadmap.


International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) Director General Sofiane Sahraoui recently attended the United Nations Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA) meetings held in New York City from March 26th to 31st. This marks the Institute's regular participation in the CEPA meetings, with many of its current and past members involved in the expert gathering.


The IIAS Panel at the 2023 ASPA Annual Conference, entitled "AI-Powered Governance: Potential and Pitfalls of Artificial Intelligence in Public Administration," brought together experts in the field of public administration to discuss the challenges and opportunities presented by artificial intelligence. The panel was derived from IIAS conferences held in 2022 and 2023, where the speakers actively participated in various tracks and sessions related to AI and digital transformation.
