MESSAGE FROM THE IASIA PRESIDENT

It is with sincere gratitude and a profound sense of responsibility that I accept the honour of serving as IASIA President. This opportunity constitutes a milestone in my public service journey, shaped first by years in government and later through academic engagement in the field of public administration. The role to which I have been dedicated has been built on hard work and steadfast commitment, and I remain indebted to the various colleagues, mentors, and institutions that supported and inspired my growth. I step into this presidency with energy and optimism, fully committed to the opportunities that lie ahead for IASIA and its global stakeholders [...]

IASIA STATUTES

IASIA Working Groups

The IASIA Working Groups are specialized teams within the association that focus on the study and development of specific topics in public administration and management. These groups serve as platforms for members to exchange information, share experiences, and collaborate on research, policy development, and best practices within their areas of interest. Working Groups are essential for driving IASIA's mission by fostering in-depth analysis, discussion, and the dissemination of knowledge among its members.

International Commission on Accreditation of Public Administration Education and Training Programs (ICAPA)

ICAPA serves as the international quality assurance and accreditation body of IASIA. Its accreditation criteria are based on the newly finalized Standards of Excellence for Public Administration Education and Training, developed through a two-year review (2022–2024) led by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and IASIA.

The Standards of Excellence establish benchmarks for high-quality education and training in public administration, guiding academic institutions, faculty, trainers, and practitioners in their pursuit of excellence. By applying these standards, public administration programs help cultivate dynamic, tech-savvy, agile, and globally aware professionals equipped to navigate complex governance challenges and contribute to sustainable development.

As the only truly international accrediting body in public administration education, ICAPA promotes global recognition of accredited programs while supporting capacity-building efforts worldwide.

Awards

The IASIA Awards Programme recognizes and celebrates exceptional contributions to the advancement of public administration, public policy, governance, and public administration education across the world. Through its distinguished awards, IASIA honours individuals, institutions, and scholarly achievements that have demonstrated excellence, innovation, leadership, and a sustained commitment to strengthening the theory and practice of public administration.

The IASIA Awards Programme currently comprises the Donald C. Stone Award, O.P. Dwivedi Award, Pierre De Celles Award, and the Allan Rosenbaum Quality Education Award, each recognizing a distinct area of achievement and contribution to the field.
