Through our activities—organizing high-level conferences and events, producing scholarly publications, and providing quality assurance in public administration education—we contribute to the development of effective, ethical, and innovative governance systems globally.

The International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) will hold its Annual Conference from 12 to 16 October 2026 in Athens, Greece, hosted by the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government (EKDDA).

Dear Members of the IASIA Community,

I am pleased to inform you that the General Assembly of the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA), at its meeting held on 14 October 2025 in Mexico City, elected the new Board of Management (Annexure A) for the 2025–2028 term.

The European Group for Public Administration (EGPA) is pleased to invite scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to participate in the EGPA 2026 Conference, which will take place 24–27 August 2026 in Rome, Italy.

Dear Members of the EGPA Community, I am delighted to share several important and encouraging updates with you that reflect the vitality, resilience, and renewed momentum of our EGPA community.

Mr Amitava Basu was a cherished colleague, mentor, and friend whose quiet generosity and readiness to help defined his presence in every professional space he entered. Within IASIA, he served with distinction as Board Member (2022–2025), Functional Vice-President for Regional and International Cooperation (2025–2028), and Co-Chair of Working Group IV on Subnational Governance and Development, bringing careful judgment, deep collegiality, and an unwavering commitment to strengthening cooperation across the global community of public administration schools and institutes. He was not only a leader but a listener: thoughtful, respectful, and always willing to make time for others, especially younger colleagues and students. His intellectual generosity and human warmth strengthened, made IASIA more inclusive, and made it more collaborative.

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) is pleased to announce the return of Dr. Marco De la Cruz, who rejoins the IIAS Secretariat as Scientific Director.

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) is pleased to announce its conference calendar for 2026, which will include three major international conferences organized by EGPA, IASIA, and IIAS.

The European Group for Public Administration (EGPA) is a longstanding cornerstone of public administration scholarship and practice across Europe and beyond. We want to support our flagship forums, the Permanent Study Groups (PSGs), by awarding our newly established EGPA-Grant to innovative, forward-looking projects and initiatives coming from PSG Co-Chairs. Ad Hoc Groups (AHG) and Co-Chairs of Specialized Panels (SP) are also invited to submit applications.

The European Group for Public Administration (EGPA) recognizes that economic and financial constraints can represent a significant barrier to conference participation for PhD students and early-career researchers. In line with its commitment to academic inclusiveness, diversity, and equal opportunities, EGPA foresees a Travel Grant to support their participation in the EGPA 2026 Conference and/or the PhD Symposium, to be held in Rome at Sapienza University from 24 to 27 August 2026.

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) and the European Group for Public Administration (EGPA) are pleased to welcome Dmytro Panchuk, who will join the organisation as EGPA Executive Secretary in March 2026. With a strong academic background and extensive experience at the intersection of research, policy, and international cooperation, Dmytro brings valuable expertise to the IIAS Secretariat at a time of profound governance challenges in Europe and beyond.

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) is pleased to announce its partnership with the 2026 Annual Conference of the China-Arab Network of Schools of Public Policy and Administration (CANSPPA), which will take place on 22–23 November 2026 at Fudan University, Shanghai, China.
