The International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) is pleased to announce the Call for Nominations for two distinguished awards: the Donald C. Stone Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Advancement and Well-Being of IASIA and The O.P. Dwivedi Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Advancement of Public Administration and Public Policy in the World.


In line with EGPA’s commitment to transparency and close engagement with its community, the IIAS Council of Administration (CoA) has approved a €60,000 allocation for EGPA in 2026, including €15,000 for Travel Grants and €45,000 for EGPA projects. The decision represents a concrete step in support of EGPA’s ongoing renewal agenda and strategic priorities.


EGPA will make available €15,000 in Travel Grants in 2026 to support PhD candidates and early-career researchers who will take an active part in the EGPA Annual Conference, to be held in Rome in August 2026, as well as related activities, including the PhD Symposium.

On 21 November 2025, the European Group for Public Administration (EGPA) held its Steering Committee (SC) meeting in Brussels, focusing on organizational renewal, membership development, and preparations for upcoming annual conferences, in particular the 2026 conference in Rome. Chaired by EGPA President Prof. Dr. Sabine Kuhlmann, the Committee reviewed progress since the Group’s 50th anniversary in 2025 and set priorities for the years ahead.

Building on a period of strong engagement, including more than 900 submissions, 800 participants, and 45 countries represented across 30 tracks at 2025 Conference, EGPA is entering a new phase of renewal and strategic focus.

Six months into his historic tenure as the first Global South President of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS), Voruganti Srinivas reflects on the Institute’s remarkable achievements and the path ahead. Elected with broad support from the membership, President Srinivas has steered the IIAS toward a vision of “collaboration without borders, knowledge without boundaries, and governance without exclusion,” emphasizing a digitally agile, publications-rich, and resource-strong institution.

The LAGPA 2025 Conference, organized by the Latin American Group for Public Administration (LAGPA), the regional branch of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS), took place from 29 September to 1 October 2025 in Lima, Peru. The event was co-organized with the support of the University of Valle (Colombia), the Graduate School “Fernando Belaunde Terry” of the University San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL, Peru), the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (CEPAL), the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), and the Latin American Center for Development Administration (CLAD).


Volume 91, Issue 4 (December 2025) of the International Review of Administrative Sciences (IRAS) is now available. This new issue brings together diverse and timely research on comparative public administration, public sector reform, research methods, public-private innovation, policy outsourcing challenges, bureaucratic fairness, political appointments and the impact of fiscal policy on economic growth in emerging economies.
