The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) and the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India, unveiled a landmark publication, “Viksit Bharat@2047: Governance Transformed”, during the IIAS-DARPG India Conference 2025. The book, part of the IIAS Public Governance Series, provides a comprehensive exploration of India’s public administration, offering a strategic roadmap for achieving developed nation status by 2047.


The European Group for Public Administration (EGPA), the Regional Group of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS), is pleased to invite scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to participate in the EGPA 2025 Conference, which will take place from August 26 to 29, 2025, in the historic city of Glasgow, Scotland, UK.


The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) and the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India, successfully concluded the IIAS-DARPG India Conference 2025, held from February 10 to 14 at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, India. Themed “Next Generation Administrative Reforms – Empowering Citizens and Reaching the Last Mile”, the conference brought together over 750 delegates from 58 countries, alongside virtual participation from thousands of officials worldwide. Policymakers, academics, practitioners, and students engaged in discussions on transformative governance models, inclusive public administration, and other pressing public governance topics.


It is with the greatest sorrow that we heard the passing away of our dear colleague and friend Dr. Fabienne Maron on December 30th, 2024.  This sad event came as a shock to all of us as we were away on the end of year break. Our greatest regret is that we were not around when she said good bye. 

Fabienne will remain as an icon of IIAS. She joined us in 2000 upon graduation with a PhD from UCLouvain. During her 24 year long service with IIAS, she was key to the spectacular development of the European Group ...


With 338 abstract submissions from 208 institutions across 58 countries, the IIAS DARPG India Conference 2025 promises to be a truly global academic gathering. Scheduled to take place in New Delhi, India, the event will feature 7 plenary sessions, 12 panels, and unparalleled opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange.

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) Council of Administration convened on December 17 to review the candidates for the position of IIAS President for the 2025–2028 term. Four candidates remain in the selection process:


The Latin American Group for Public Administration (LAGPA), the regional entity of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS), played a pivotal role at the XXIX International Congress on State Reform and Public Administration. The event, organized by the Centro Latinoamericano de Administración para el Desarrollo (CLAD) in partnership with the Government of Brazil, the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI), the National School of Public Administration (ENAP), and other key collaborators, took place in Brasília from November 26 to 29, 2024.

The 2024 AAPA-EROPA-AGPA-IAPA Joint Conference, an unprecedented gathering of Asia’s major public administration organizations—the Asian Association for Public Administration (AAPA), the Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA), the Asian Group for Public Administration (AGPA), and the Indonesian Association for Public Administration (IAPA)—successfully concluded at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Themed “Towards World Class Bureaucracy,” the event marked a milestone in public administration, drawing over 600 participants, including a substantial international delegation.
