The International Institute of Administrative Sciences is an international NGO of Belgian law. Legal changes prompted the IIAS to have new statutes in force by January 1st, 2024.


The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), in partnership with the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA), is actively leading the initiative to review and/or upgrade the Standards of Excellence for Public Administration Education and Training. Established in 2023, this collaborative task force is dedicated to modernizing these standards, which were last finalized in 2008, to ensure their alignment with current global goals and advancements in public administration.


The Developments in Administration (DinA) journal is thrilled to announce the release of its highly anticipated fifth volume, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to providing a platform for underrepresented material, authors, and institutions in the realm of public administration.


The Latin American Group for Public Administration (LAGPA) is delighted to extend a cordial invitation to the LAGPA Conference, hosted in collaboration with the Faculty of Government at the University of Chile and the University of Valle in Cali, Colombia. The conference is scheduled to take place in Santiago de Chile from January 15 to 17, 2024, at the University of Chile.

The European Group for Public Administration (EGPA) is hosting a new Citizen Participation Clinic on November 8, 2023, from 12:00 to 13:00 CET. The event will delve into the New England Town Meeting, a form of local governance that allows citizens to design, discuss, amend, and approve policy.


Professor Gyorgy Hajnal from Corvinus University, Hungary, and former NISPAcee President, has been elected as the new Chair of the European Association for Public Administration Accreditation (EAPAA) Board. The election took place during the EAPAA Board and General meetings held in Zagreb, Croatia, within the framework of the EGPA Annual Conference on September 7, 2023.
